Padbury Community Kindy is a four year old kindergarten program. To be eligible to attend, children must turn 4 by June 30 of their enrolment year. In line with the national curriculum, our program is based on children’s interests with a focus on social, emotional, physical and early literacy and numeracy development.
Children attend 2.5 days each week:
Tuesday: 8.40am - 2.45pm
Wednesday: 8.40am - 11.30am
Thursday: 8.40am - 2.45pm
Our Philosophy
We follow the national kindergarten curriculum, delivered with an emphasis on play and exploration - an approach proven to nurture brains with ‘flexibility and improved potential for learning later in life’ (Lester & Russell, 2008, p. 9). Use the buttons below to browse more information on the curriculum and this approach. We also value the vital role that families play in children's education - our doors are always open and we welcome families to get involved.

Parent Committee
One of the great things about community kindy is the opportunity to get involved and play an active part in shaping your child's kindy experience. Community kindergartens are managed by a voluntary parent committee, working in collaboration with the teaching staff. Community kindergartens are a team effort, focused on delivering a fantastic learning experience for all children. Many life-long friendships (for children and families) begin right here at kindy.
